Preparation: New clean wooden surfaces: Clean all surfaces from dirt and dust. Moisten slightly with water spray, leave to dry and grind loose wood fibers. Remove sanding dust.
Old dirty and pre-treated wooden surfaces with e.g. Soup Sauna Finish: Wash the surfaces with Supi Saunapes cleaner according to the instructions, rinse and leave to dry. Sand and remove sanding dust. If traces of the old surface remain after the wax treatment, the final look will have more shine than untreated wood. Supi Sauna Wax is not recommended for use on oil-coated surfaces (eg with Supi Bench Protection), if the oil does not wear out. Protect floors well before use, as Supi Sauna Wax is easily absorbed into tile joints.

Stir Supi Sauna Wax well, from time to time as well as during use. Apply one layer of wax, do not use more wax than the wood can absorb. Since wax is very liquid, it is the most suitable application using a foam brush or sponge. The surface remains greasy if too much wax is applied. Do a rehearsal with the toned Supi Sauna Wax on the hidden part to make sure the shade is appropriate. The final shade of the surface depends on the type of wood. Treat smaller areas at once to avoid reclamation, and large panel areas 1-2 panels at a time to achieve a uniform appearance. Heat and ventilate saunas before use. Heat-treated wooden surfaces are recommended to be treated with Supi Sauna Wax tinted in shade TVT 318R.
Wash the tool with water or Tikkurila Pensselipes (Cleanser tools).
Cleaning at least one month after application. Surface cleaning with Supi Saunapes cleaner (1-2 dl cleaner in 5 liters of water).
